Recipe : Banana donuts churros style

Difficulty: Easy – Preparation time: 20 min – Cooking time: 10 min

Kitchen equipment :

  • 2 Bowls
  • Fryer or frying pan

Ingredients :

  • Bananas from Guadeloupe & Martinique
  • egg
  • 200 g of bread crumbs
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 1/2 liter of oil for frying (sunflower or rapeseed)

 

Preparation :

1 – Cut both ends of the bananas and cut them in half.

2 – Separate the flesh of the bananas from the skin.

3- Break an egg into a bowl, beat it, then pour the breadcrumbs into a second bowl.

4 – Pass each banana cylinder through the beaten egg, then the bread crumbs. Set aside.

5 – Heat some oil in a fryer (or else, in a frying pan).

6 – Once the oil is hot, put the banana fritters in it. Turn them regularly to obtain a homogeneous cooking.

7 – Once the donuts are golden brown, place them on a plate covered with paper towels and then sweeten them generously.

8 – Enjoy as is, or with some chocolate spread.
